Rey Fenix is undoubtedly one of the top stars in AEW right now and the Death Triangle member is a highly accomplished talent outside the promotion as well. That said, it appears Fenix is no longer part of AAA.

Rey Fenix is one of the biggest Mexican stars in the world right now and his stock only further increased after joining AEW. That said, he has a lot of history with AAA and was a regular feature there.

The former AEW World Tag Team Champion took to his Instagram and officially announced that he is parting ways with AAA. He uploaded a video alongside his post to explain his decision.

“Thanks to all the fans @luchalibreaaa this is not goodbye, but see you soon.”

In Lucha Libre AAA, Fenix is the AAA World Cruiserweight Champion and Latin American Champion. Fenix also won the AAA Mega Championship, AAA Fusion Championship and also the Tag Team Titles with Pentagon Jr during his time in AAA. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for Rey Fenix.
