Back in June of 2021, WWE held another round of cuts from the company and it included several big names. This also included Fandango, who was a veteran of the company. Fandango also explained why he got heat in WWE at one time.

Fandango’s career peaked during his WrestleMania 29 match against Chris Jericho, where Jericho put him over. The company didn’t use him well after that, despite The Fashion Files being a success.

Fandango eventually made his way to Impact Wrestling, where he is now competing as Dirty Dango and having a much better time. While speaking on the K100 podcast, the former Fandango talked about his time in WWE and revealed that he got heat in WWE for not informing WWE management he got a concussion after wrestling The Great Khali.

“They were getting ready to put the [Intercontinental] title on me in a triple threat match at one of the pay-per-views post-WrestleMania [29]. I got a concussion wrestling Great Khali. I didn’t tell the office about it, and I got a lot of heat for it.”

Dirty Dango is set to feature at an upcoming Impact taping against Santino Marella in a singles match. It is unlikely Dirty Dango will make his return to Vince McMahon’s company anytime soon.
