R-Truth made a surprise NXT appearance last year, but the multi-time 24/7 Champion suffered an injury. Now, it appears that he is getting closer to that return.

There are indications that WWE will soon see the return of one of their long-time veterans who has been sidelined for several months.

R-Truth had been actively involved on the WWE NXT brand until he suffered a torn quad during a singles match with Grayson Waller in November. The injury occurred when he flipped over the top rope. Shortly after the bout, it was confirmed that R-Truth had undergone surgery to address the injury.

PW Insider reports that R-Truth was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama, earlier this week. He was most likely there to get checked out as part of the process for a potential return to the ring.

In January, during a live stream, R-Truth mentioned that his recovery process had been slightly delayed due to a necessary second surgery to address an infection. However, he hinted that his return might happen sooner than anticipated, surprising fans with the potential for his comeback.

This past April, R-Truth teased on Twitter that he would be returning to television “soon.” Obviously, we are still waiting for that day to come.
