The WWE is full of talented Superstars who have competed in numerous companies over the years before calling WWE their home. That said, a lot of talent have also left the company for various reasons. This includes Matt Cardona, who was released by WWE and has since become a major name in the independent circuit. Now it appears Cardona explained what he really disliked what WWE.

In case you forgot, Matt Cardona was known as Zack Ryder during his time in WWE. He didn’t break the glass ceiling there and was unable to truly break out as a star there. He was eventually released by WWE in 2020 and went on to become the Indy God in the independent circuit.

Ringside News also exclusively reported that Matt Cardona is on WWE’s radar for a return. That said, there is no guarantee he will end up signing with Vince McMahon’s company anytime soon.

While speaking on Strictly Business, Matt Cardona talked about his time in WWE and explained what he really disliked what WWE. That turned out to be the constantly changing schedules.

“Just the changing of the schedules every week, I’m like, ‘I don’t miss that. I don’t miss, ‘Oh you’re needed for SmackDown, you’re not needed, you’re needed for live events, you’re not needed,’ I don’t miss that at all.”

I did that for 14 years straight and it became normal, it wasn’t until I left where I was like, wait a minute, that’s not normal,” he questioned. “That’s not how you should live your life.”

Matt Cardona also believes he will return to WWE eventually. We will have to wait and see whether fans will finally get to see Matt Cardona finally make his return to WWE one day.

What’s your opinion on what Matt Cardona said? Do you think he will eventually sign with WWE? Let us know in the comments!
