Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and became one of the mainstays of the company since then. He is also confident when it comes to AEW getting more fans thanks to its diverse product. He battled his fair share of demons and it appears Moxley is no longer afraid of dying of cardiac arrest in the ring.
Jon Moxley’s body underwent a lot of wear and tear over the years of his competing in various violent matches. It led to him developing substance abuse issues and he entered rehab for alcohol addiction.
The Purveyor Of Violence returned to AEW television in January of last year and has since been at the very top of his game. Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Moxley stated that he is no longer afraid of dying of cardiac arrest in the ring.
“I’m in my ideal situation. I have a beautiful family. I’m healthy. I’m not afraid of dying of cardiac arrest in the ring.
My substance abuse issues are in the past. S*** happens, but I’m healthy. I get to wrestle in AEW on Dynamite, and nobody’s up my ass.”
Jon Moxley wasn’t present on AEW Dynamite this week as he is currently in Japan. With a Blood and Guts match set to take place very soon, it remains to be seen how AEW will book The Elite vs The Blackpool Combat Club’s feud till then.
