Gable Stevenson was scooped up by WWE years ago, but he hasn’t made his official in-ring debut yet, despite training remotely. Now, it appears that the Olympic Gold Medalist is very close to making that happen.

During WWE NXT this week, they brought back the RAW Underground match. Damon Kemp, Gable Steveson’s brother, battled Eddy Thorpe, and Gable actually trained his brother’s opponent for the match.

Gable Steveson stood at ringside and watched the RAW Underground match closely. Then, things popped off in a big way when the match was over.

The Olympic Gold Medalist jumped in the ring, and he was quickly met with a few obstacles. This is when he cleared house with one German suplex after another. It was quite a sight.

The NXT crowd popped in a big way, and it was pretty apparent that Gable Steveson is going to find a fine home in the squared circle. To top it off, Gable also rocked his Olympic gold medal.

Ringside News exclusively reported that a tenured member of the WWE creative team confirmed with us that Gable Steveson is “in the plans,” but no further information was given. Considering how WWE’s rosters have mingled in recent memory, it wouldn’t be any surprise to see Gable Steveson find his way onto any WWE television show he likes.

We will have to see when Gable Steveson shows up next, but he’s certain to make a big splash when he does. Sound off in the comments below to let us know.
