WWE has a lot of talented people working behind the scenes. A lot of them have experience in the ring as well, and now it appears that the story might not be finished in the ring for one of them.

In WWE, it is customary to hire trainers and producers who have concluded their in-ring careers. However, there are instances where individuals are brought on board to work behind the scenes while still maintaining their in-ring capabilities.

One such case is former WWE star Kenn Doane, who joined the company in 2021 in a backstage role as a trainer at the Performance Center and as a producer. Fans may recall him as Kenny Dykstra from his time with The Spirit Squad faction. Although Doane was released by WWE in 2008, he made a brief return for a storyline on SmackDown alongside Dolph Ziggler in 2016. Since his return in 2021, he has occasionally been spotted backstage, intervening to break up brawls.

At 37 years old, Doane recently dropped a big hint on Twitter that he still has a lot to offer in the ring. He literally tweeted out to say, “Still so much left in the tank…” along with a video of him in the square circle.

Whether he will be given the opportunity to wrestle again in WWE ultimately rests with management. Given his athleticism and the star potential he exhibited during his initial run, many believe he still has several high-level years left in him as a wrestler.

In an October tweet, Doane poignantly expressed his sentiment of “unfulfilled potential,” hinting at his desire to achieve more in the industry.

Only time will tell if fans see Kenn Doane in the ring again. If anything, he certainly isn’t giving the impression that he hung up his boots for good.

Kenn Doane was able to do a lot in the ring, but should WWE give him another run? Sound off in the comments!
