Shayna Baszler Says Fans Have Hated Ronda Rousey Ever Since She’s Known Her

Shayna Baszler turned on Ronda Rousey at Money in the Bank, and that was a shocking moment. It seems that the writing might have been on the wall for that turn.

Prior to Money in the Bank, Shayna Baszler spoke to Steve Fall about Ronda Rousey. She was asked about the hate that Rousey gets, and Baszler had to admit that she’s been the target of hate the entire time they knew each other.

“It’s been that way ever since I’ve known her, man. I don’t know. I don’t know. And it’s funny too, because the few times — it happened more in MMA as well. But the few times where I get on and I’m like, actually, that’s not true. They’re like, you’re speaking as her friend, you’re blind. And I’m like, Yeah, I know her better. But whatever. For whatever reason, people hate her. She’s easy to hate. That’s just something we’re used to. I don’t know. It’s been that way for years. Yeah.”

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are heading toward a match at SummerSlam. That might be Rousey’s final match with the company, because she has “hard out” date with WWE.
