During the AEW & NJPW Forbidden Door media scrum, Tony Khan had a chance to field questions. He was asked about Adam Cole’s situation, and how he is doing.

Tony Khan said that Adam Cole showed up to the arena sick for Forbidden Door. They sent him home, with what they believed to be the flu. There is an expectation that Adam Cole won’t be out of action for long at all.

When asked about booking Tom Lawlor vs Adam Cole again, Tony Khan stated that he would love to make that match happen. The trick is making things work with Lawlow’s schedule. There are several moving pieces involved with booking Filthy Tom.

We will have to see when Adam Cole returns to AEW television. He is still slated to be a part of an ongoing angle with MJF, where they are partners in the upcoming blind tag team tournament.
