The Miz is veteran in WWE, and he has a lot of wisdom that he can share with younger performers. That being said, pro wrestling can be quite an emotion-filled business to be a part of.
In April 2020, Sonya Deville’s character revealed that she had maliciously interfered with Otis’ Valentine’s Day plans, deliberately sabotaging his date with Mandy Rose. Throughout the summer of 2020, the former mixed martial artist engaged in a heated rivalry with Rose, and as a result, she was given increased opportunities to showcase her skills on the microphone.
During her appearance on Maria Menounos’ Heal Squad podcast, Sonya Deville shared that The Miz gave her a fantastic compliment after one of those segments. That gesture from The Miz left a lasting impact on Deville, and it meant a lot coming from The Miz.
“I went out there and I never felt so confident, and I delivered it and I remember I walked off stage and Miz was standing backstage, and he was like, ‘That’s one of the best promos I ever heard.’ I started crying because coming from him, someone who’s great on the mic, amazing, been around for so long, I was like, ‘Wow.'”
Sonya Deville will carry on with Chelsea Green as her tag team partner. It seems that they are going the long haul with their team, because they even got matching ring gear. Only time will tell if they pick up tag team gold along the way.
The Miz is still known to light up WWE programming as well. It seems that he far from finished, and he might just inspire another fellow Superstar along the way.
