Kenny Omega Jokes About ‘Toxic’ AEW Environment After CM Punk Return

CM Punk and The Elite’s backstage issues are well-documented by now, as their brawl after AEW All Out last year changed the course of the company for good. CM Punk finally returned on AEW Collision last week and it appears Kenny Omega made a joke about that fact recently.

CM Punk started the debut episode of AEW Collision with a long promo where he addressed a lot of things. The Second City Saint made it clear that he is not giving back the AEW World Championship, which he never lost.

CM Punk and FTR also competed in the main event, in what was a hard-hitting contest. Punk’s team would win in the end. The debut episode was a resounding success in a major way.

Many reports have suggested that Punk’s return has caused tension in the AEW locker room, but things are still much better than better. On the latest episode of Being the Elite, Kenny Omega joked about AEW having a toxic locker room environment after CM Punk’s return.

CM Punk also took a massive shot at the Young Bucks and even got reaction from them. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how CM Punk will be booked now that he is back for good.
