Mercedes Mone worked hard to establish herself as one of the most recognizable female pro wrestlers in the world right now. She made her way to NJPW and STARDOM – becoming a major star in Japan. Mone recently suffered an injury during an NJPW event and now it appears she underwent surgery recently after suffering the injury.

Mercedes Mone squared off against Willow Nightingale at the NJPW Resurgence event, in order to crown the first NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion. While Mone lost the match, she also suffered an ankle injury and had to be carried to the back.

This really worried many people, as fans believed she suffered a terrible injury that will put her on the shelf for several months. That said, Mercedes Mone was supposed to win the match before the injury.

Mercedes Mone took to her Instagram story and uploaded a photo of herself, where her foot could be seen in a cast. Mone also revealed that it has been six days since she underwent surgery.
