In a recent appearance on UpNXT, NXT wrestler Tiffany Stratton opened up about her dream opponents in WWE and the incredible path that led her to sign with the promotion. She shared insight about her wrestling aspirations, training process, and the determination that fueled her journey.

When discussing her ideal match, Stratton expressed her desire for a thrilling Triple Threat showdown.

“I would have to say a Triple Threat between me, Charlotte Flair, and Bianca Belair,” Stratton revealed. She continued, “I think we are all highly athletic. We’re all highly competitive, and I honestly believe you will not find a better Women’s match in history.”

Stratton then delved into the catalyst behind her decision to pursue a career in professional wrestling.

“Well, obviously the Queen herself, Charlotte Flair, inspired me to become a wrestler.” Stratton vividly recalled stumbling upon a random episode of SmackDown and being captivated by Flair’s impressive presence. She added, “She’s blonde, she was jacked, and I thought to myself, ‘I could totally do that.'”

Driven by her newfound passion, Stratton submitted her application to WWE multiple times but received no response. Undeterred, she sought out wrestling veteran Greg Gagne, who recognized her potential after witnessing her first bump in the ring. Gagne’s endorsement led him to contact Stephanie McMahon, ultimately catching the attention of Triple H, who arranged a tryout.

Unfortunately, fate had other plans, as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted Stratton’s tryout opportunity, forcing her to wait for another year and a half. Undeterred, she utilized the time to further hone her skills and fitness, diving into bodybuilding and CrossFit while continuing to train in the very same ring where she took her first bump.

Finally, after the long wait, Stratton received the coveted invitation to try out once again. This time, she seized the opportunity and impressed WWE officials, leading to a well-deserved contract with NXT. Her unwavering determination and unwavering commitment to her craft serve as a testament to her passion for professional wrestling.
