CM Punk was not originally part of AEW’s big Collision announcement during the Warner Bros Discovery upfronts, but that status soon changed. Now, the Second City Savior is set to make his AEW return, and the company already has people lined up for him to face.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that he heard a very interesting note about CM Punk’s possible future in AEW. He said that there is talk of having CM Punk vs Jay White in a singles feud.

Jay While showed up in AEW after his NJPW deal expired. There were some rumors that WWE might be interested, but Jay White ended up with Tony Khans’ company instead. Now, he might be looking at a big-money feud in his immediate future.

CM Punk was supposed to have a rivalry with Chris Jericho, but that didn’t seem to pan out as his first feud. Now, the biggest rumor is that CM Punk will reignite an old feud with Samoa Joe instead.

Pro wrestling fans should know the brutal history between Samoa Joe and CM Punk in ROH. Only time will tell how far those two go against each other in 2023. Odds are, AEW has another challenger for Punk waiting in the wing.

AEW Collision will debut on June 17th on TNT. That Saturday show has a lot riding on it, and CM Punk will be attached to the show. For more updates like this, and from all over the pro wrestling world, stay turned with us here at Ringside News.
