Pro wrestling has many couples, and some of them span across multiple companies. Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green are happily married, and it seems that Cardona might want another run in WWE.

Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green were both pandemic releases from WWE. Although Green returned to WWE, Cardona is still doing his thing on the indies. Things might have changed.

Matt Cardona recently requested Chelsea Green’s assistance in putting in a good word for him with WWE. This lighthearted exchange went down as Green, who is married to Cardona, is enjoying a resurgence during her second stint with the company.

During the GCW Cage of Survival 2 event, The Kirks (Brandon Kirk & Kasey Kirk) squared off against Matt Cardona and Steph De Lander in a grueling match. By the end of the intense encounter, Cardona found himself drenched in blood after Maki Itoh struck him with light tubes.

Following the match, a fan shared a picture on Twitter capturing Cardona’s bloody appearance. This caused him to retweet it. The Internet Champion then jokingly asked Chelsea Green to lend a hand by texting WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H on his behalf. Cardona humorously expressed his distaste for the independent wrestling scene and GCW.

It’s important to note that this exchange between Cardona and Green was in good fun and not indicative of any genuine negative feelings towards GCW or the independent wrestling circuit.

HELP ME @ImChelseaGreen!!! Text Triple H for me! I hate the indies!!! I hate @GCWrestling_!!!

Matt Cardona has been covered in blood a couple of times on the indies. He has also made a lot of money on merchandising his bloody appearance. Now, it appears that he is nursing some new wounds.

We will have to see if WWE gives Matt Cardona a call, but he might be tired of bleeding his own blood in GCW.

What’s your take on WWE possibly bringing back Matt Cardona? Sound off in the comments!
