Cody Rhodes Wrestled After WWE SmackDown’s Conclusion

Cody Rhodes is one of the biggest Superstars in WWE right now and it was been building up since his return at WrestleMania 38 last year. Rhodes has continued to be beloved Superstar thanks to his believable character, among other things. That said, he even competed in a match after Smackdown concluded this week.

Cody Rhodes’ dreams were shattered after he was unable to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, despite his best efforts. Right after that, he began feuding with Brock Lesnar, which continues to this very day.

As seen on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, WWE celebrated Roman Reigns’ 1000+ day run as Universal Champion by unveiling new title for him. The show ended with Jimmy Uso being kicked out of The Bloodline.

After Friday Night Smackdown went off the air, Cody Rhodes came out and had a surprise dark match against The Miz. He defeated The Miz and then posed for posed with several fans.

WWE has interesting plans for Cody Rhodes and it is likely he will square off against Brock Lesnar at the Money In The Bank Premium Live Event next month. We’ll have to see how their feud will be booked till then.
