This will be a big night for fans of both WWE and AEW. While Tony Khan’s company brought Double or Nothing, NXT presented Battleground. That was quite a show, and there was plenty of action for fans in Lowell, Mass. Fans didn’t know what to expect from Battleground, but we knew that a new Women’s Champion would be crowned.

Lyra Valkyria took on Tiffany Stratton in the finals of the NXT Women’s Title tournament. Indi Hartwell was the champion, but she was injured and had to relinquish the championship.

Indi Hartwell was actually injured during her last title defense. She was taken out of the match, and Tiffany Stratton was selected to win as they called an audible. Suddenly, Hartwell returned to the match, and they changed things back to her retaining the title.

NXT Battleground saw Lyra Valkyria and Tiffany Stratton battle in a match for the vacant title. This was a championship that both competitors wanted, but Stratton came out on top.

Tiffany Stratton said that this is her time before the match even started. It appears that the Superstar who burst onto the NXT scene with a Daddy’s Girl gimmick over a year ago is finally a champion.
