AEW has signed up some of the hottest free agents in pro wrestling. For some reason, Mercedes Mone decided to ink a deal with NJPW instead, but Tony Khan is certainly paying attention to her.

During the media conference before Double or Nothing, Tony Khan had a lot to say. During those notes, it was stated that Tony Khan was asked about bringing Mercedes Mone into AEW. TK then stated that only he and Mercedes know their plans.

Regarding Mercedes Mone, Khan stated that only he and Mercedes know the details of her future plans, including whether she will appear exclusively for NJPW or also in AEW. He emphasized that no one else knows when she will be back, except for Mercedes herself.

Mercedes Mone broke her ankle in that NJPW Strong Women’s Title match against Willow. We have not heard anything new about her status. Hopefully, the former Sasha Banks is able to make it back to action very soon.

AEW has brought a number of former WWE Superstars into the company, but they haven’t been able to secure The Boss. Judging by the way Tony Khan was talking, it seems that something is in the works.

What’s your take on Mercedes Mone going to AEW? Do you think she would move the needle for them? Sound off in the comments!
