WWE RAW opened up with a brutal beatdown this week. Brock Lesnar destroyed Cody Rhodes backstage, and then The American Nightmare sold a broken arm for the rest of the show. That being said, Cody is going to still wrestle in Saudi Arabia.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that everything on RAW this week was part of the show. Cody Rhodes will be taking on Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions as scheduled.

In case there was any doubt, Cody Rhodes is still scheduled to face Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions. He’s also doing additional promotional appearances in Saudi Arabia

Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes are great showmen, and the fact that this report even needed to be written is proof of that. Now we will have to wait and see how everything plays out in Saudi Arabia when the two square off.

Brock Lesnar matches are historically either first or last on a card. That being said, it seems that WWE need to put the World Heavyweight Championship match on last, so fans might need to tune in early to catch Cody Rhodes vs Lesnar II.
