News broke just before WWE RAW this week that Liv Morgan suffered an injury. It was not noted what kind of injury she suffered, but that nixed a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match for later on in the night. Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville were not happy, but they might not have to wait long for Morgan’s return.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler returned to WWE television this week. The two heels took out Raquel Rodriguez after her match with Chelsea Green. That sent a very bold message to the champions.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about Liv Morgan’s injury. Although her exact injury hasn’t been revealed at this time, it is pretty apparent that her issue isn’t too severe.

“I don’t know what the injury is, and they didn’t say, but the way everything was played up, you know it’s not like if she was going to be out for a long time with this injury, she’d say she was out, and then they would take steps of stripping them of the belts. You know, it felt like it was something where, you know she’s going to be back very soon.”

“They went on to do an angle with Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler and Raquel to obviously build up a tag title match, so you know, I mean I think it’s a short term thing with live. That’s certainly the impression that you would get.”

We will have to see what WWE does with this situation. Ronda Rousey is apparently back from injury and ready to chase the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles with Shayna Baszler once again. That was a spot she was supposed to have at WrestleMania, but her own injury stopped that from taking place.

Ronda Rousey’s presence on the red brand could change a lot of things, especially for Liv Morgan. After all, Morgan knows all about facing Rousey, because the two battled for the SmackDown Women’s Title several months ago as the Baddest Woman on the Planet ended Morgan’s reign as champion.

What’s your take on Liv Morgan’s injury status? Do you think it might be kayfabe? Sound off in the comments!
