Saraya Reveals Struggles of Dealing With Endo Belly & Fat Shaming

Saraya is considered a pioneer in professional wrestling as she has helped establish women’s wrestling in general in a big way thanks to her time in WWE NXT as well as the main roster. While Saraya is a pro wrestler, she is a human at the end of the day and suffers from illnesses just like anyone else does. It appears that Saraya is dealing with a very bothersome stomach condition.

Saraya made her way to AEW and immediately made an impact as a top babyface. That said, she is now the leader of The Outcasts – one of the major heel factions in AEW. Even then, Saraya still has a large fanbase.

Unfortunately, Saraya also has a ton of haters on social media who continuously attacks her looks and body in general. They even had some very creepy comments for throwback photo recently.

While speaking on season five of Taylor Wilde’s Wilde On podcast, Saraya opened up about suffering from endometriosis as well as endo belly. Medical News Today describes it as the ‘painful and often severe abdominal bloating associated with endometriosis. Saraya added that it prevents her from wrestling when her belly swells up.

Everybody has an opinion on you. It’s so frustrating. Growing up so young, the thing that used to bother me the most out of everything is the way they would look at my weight, because everyone has an opinion about your — lately as well, they’ll turn it back around. They tell me that I’m looking a little bigger than usual and I wanna tell them, listen, I’m getting older. I have really bad endometriosis. My belly swells up, I get endo belly and so it swells up for a couple of weeks and it’s really, really painful and I try to hide it. That’s why I can’t wrestle when my belly is like that. I can’t wear wrestling gear, I’m too swollen. It’s a really painful experience for me and then people will just think I’m fat and I’m just like, ‘You have no idea’ but everyone has an opinion.

It is certainly sad to hear just how much Saraya has to struggle on a daily basis, but fans commend her for keeping her chin up and continuing to do what she loves most. We’ll have to see what AEW has in store for Saraya as we approach AEW Double Or Nothing.
