The pro wrestling world is full of traps that can derail a career. Sadly, drugs and alcohol can become all too common for pro wrestlers as they make it through their difficult profession. That seemed to be the case for Tammy Lynn Sytch and Chris Candido.

Dark Side of the Ring announced their subjects for their 4th season, and many zeroed in on Tammy Lynn Sytch and Chris Candido getting their own episode. That one could be a very sad episode to watch.

During his podcast on AdFreeShows, Eric Bischoff pointed a big spotlight on Tammy Lynn Sytch and Chris Candido’s drug use. This was a very big problem that went on to derail their momentum in the pro wrestling business.

“Not good. Not good at all. I didn’t really want them there. I didn’t see the value despite Sunny’s status at the time. The drug issue was such a, I mean everybody knew it. They were a train wreck and the idea of bringing in a couple train wrecks that you know are train wrecks into the company was just stupid.”

“I wasn’t a fan of either one of them. I mean, it got so bad, and I don’t usually talk about people who are no longer here, but let me put it this way. Those two would come out of a bathroom and people would have to come in and make sure there were no needles left on the floor. I mean, that’s how bad it was, so I had no time for either one of them. I feel bad about the drug addiction.”

“Fortunately, I’ve not been, nor has anybody in my family been addicted, but I know that addiction is a serious, serious, serious issue and I feel bad for the people that are in the midst of it, but they had no place in any wrestling company at that point in time.”

Dark Side of the Ring will focus on Tammy Lynn Sytch and Chris Candido’s relationship during their 4th season. That episode will likely include a lot of dark details that nobody really knows about until the episode airs. Odds are, it will also not paint Tammy Lynn Sytch in the greatest light.

On that note, Shawn Michaels might need to be worried about the upcoming Dark Side of the Ring season. After all, he was engaged in a physical relationship with Sunny while she was married to Chris Candido. In her autobiography, Tammy Lynn Sytch also sort of blamed HBK for getting her into the lifestyle of drugs and drinking.

What’s your take on Tammy Lynn Sytch and Chris Candido getting a Dark Side of the Ring episode? Should Shawn Michaels be worried? Sound off in the comments!
