ROH star Eddie Kingston will be undergoing hernia surgery on May 9, as he announced to the crowd at the latest ROH TV tapings on earlier today. The wrestler had revealed on the April 13 episode of ROH TV that he had been dealing with a hernia since September and would require surgery.

According to fans in attendance, Kingston stated that he expects to be back in action in about six weeks. Kingston last competed on March 31 at ROH Supercard of Honor, where he unsuccessfully challenged Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship.

Kingston was also scheduled to compete at NJPW Collision in Philadelphia but was pulled from the card due to an undisclosed injury.

Kingston is currently signed to both AEW and ROH, having “quit” AEW after the March 2 episode of AEW Dynamite and subsequently moved to ROH.
