WWE has a lot going on, and they traveled to Puerto Rico for SmackDown and Backlash; both events are sold out, and there is a lot of hype surrounding those shows. WWE also has a special plan for the crowd this week.

SmackDown will go down in San Juan, Puerto Rico this week, the same home as Backlash. WWE hyped fans with a press conference this afternoon, complete with a big WWE World Heavyweight Title announcement from Triple H.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE has plans to incorporate an audience plant in the crowd this week. It was not noted which segment this will take place during.

It was also noted in the update that, “WWE is going to be pushing the Puerto Rico LWO shirts heavily this weekend while in the area.” Obviously, the LWO is popular, and they are pushing special Puerto Rico versions of the shirt.

This could be an epic episode of SmackDown this week, if only for the amped up Puerto Rican audience. Those fans have waited twenty years for this, and they are already incredibly excited.

We’ll have to see how this situation pans out on SmackDown tonight. As always, we will have all news you need right here at Ringside News.
