Dominik Mysterio wasn’t really liked when he was a plain babyface when he teamed up with his father Rey Mysterio. Things changed for Domink Mysterio after he turned heel last year and things have truly become better for him. Now it appears Dominik made a bold statement about Eddie Guerrero.

Dominik Mysterio appeared on WWE in 2005 during a heated storyline featuring Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. The two fought over the custody of Dominik. Eddie was determined to prove that he was Dominik’s father, and this led to the now-iconic ladder match between himself and Rey Mysterio at SummerSlam 2005.

While Rey Mysterio won the match, it appears that Dominik Mysterio thinks the wrong person won. While speaking with Chente Ydrach, Dominik Mysterio talked about his role in the iconic feud.

The Judgment Day member then stated that his “real father” Eddie Guerrero helped him get where he is today and was responsible for eventually turning him into a life in professional wrestling.

“Seeing it now as an adult, it’s incredible to be in that position as a child. I was told that I was gonna get paid, I did not have to go to school or do homework during the feud, which was the best for me so I was ready. I told my dad that I was ready and to just let me know when, but it did scare me a bit because I was very shy and did not like to be in front of cameras & crowd. It was because of Eddie Guerrero, MY REAL FATHER EDDIE GUERRERO, that I am where I am and he planted the seeds to be a wrestler.”

Dominik has repeatedly brought up Eddie Guerrero during his current run as a heel and even previously told Rey Mysterio that he wished Eddie was his real father. We’ll have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book Dominik Mysterio in the coming months.

What’s your take on what Dominik Mysterio said? Do you think he is one of the best heels in WWE right now? Sound off in the comments!
