WWE has a lot of things going on in the company, and you never know what can change next. With Endeavor merging UFC and WWE together, it appears that some contracts might not be renewed either, because Drew McIntyre is still holding out.
It was previously noted that Drew McIntyre will be out of action for a few more weeks. Nothing has changed regarding his contract situation, either.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter broke down the current rosters after the 2023 WWE Draft. In reality, they need to elevate more talent, because right now Drew McIntyre is working with the idea that his time with WWE is coming to an end.
McIntyre right now is working with the idea there’s a good chance he’s finishing up, he could do a big program for the title as a challenger and finally leave. Perhaps at that point Randy Orton could return, and there’s always people like Brock Lesnar and Omos that they could add in that spot as a temporary headline program.
We will have to see how Triple H handles this situation. Vince McMahon might bury a performer on their way out of the company, but Triple H could have a different idea on how to go about things.
This entire situation could be settled if WWE offered Drew McIntyre a contract that he can’t refuse. At this time, it doesn’t appear that has happened yet. It is also unclear whether McIntyre will ink a new deal with WWE this time around.
Drew McIntyre could be a big player in AEW, or even go back to dominate Impact Wrestling again. Then again, he could always decide to stick around WWE, because there is a lot more money to be made with Vince McMahon’s company.
Do you think Drew McIntyre is going to leave the company? Will WWE miss him? Sound off in the comments!
