John Laurinaitis was the former Head of Talent Relations of WWE and made headlines for all the wrong reasons after he was allegedly involved in Vince McMahon’s hush money settlement scandal. It all came crashing down right after that in a huge way. While he is no longer associated with WWE, it appears that Laurinaitis has been accused of getting enjoyment from firing an AEW star who used to work in WWE.

Matt Hardy has had three runs in WWE and managed to accomplish a lot during those three tenures. Back in 2005, Matt Hardy was briefly fired by WWE after his scandal with Edge and Lita but was eventually brought back the same year.

While speaking on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy talked about his relationship with John Laurinaitis. Hardy alleged that Laurinaitis got enjoyment from firing him in 2005.

“John Laurinaitis and I, we had a lot of issues. I felt like whenever he called to release me in 2005, I felt like he was getting a little bit of enjoyment out of it because he’s like, ‘this guy clashed with me and he questioned my judgment.”

Johnny Ace was placed on indefinite administrative leave, and his future was all but certain after that. As previously reported, John Laurinaitis was fired by WWE earlier last year.

John Laurinaitis also pushed Vince McMahon for the Head of Talent Relations position in WWE. Regardless, Matt Hardy and Johnny Ace are on better terms right now and that’s all that matters to Hardy.
