Vince McMahon retired from WWE when a hush money scandal blew up in his face. He later returned to the company, where he initiated a merger with the UFC under Endeavor. Vince McMahon still controls WWE, and that comes with everything it used to, except weekly creative control. Even though Triple H is running things now, McMahon is still able to make suggestions.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Roman Reigns will wrestle again at Night of Champions. That event will go down in Saudi Arabia on May 27th. We still don’t know who Reigns will face, but Vince McMahon had suggestions.

Give Me Sport recently spoke to Wrestle Votes where he explained that Vince McMahon pitched “several ideas” for Roman Reigns’ opponent, but they were really not taken well.

I was told that Vince McMahon has pitched several ideas for Roman Reigns’ next challenger. A few of them were even kind of scoffed at, like that hat doesn’t make any sense.

Vince McMahon has his own way of going about things from a creative standpoint. The Chairman of the Board is known for his interesting booking decisions. It seems that a few of those ideas really missed the mark in the writers’ room.

This is interesting, because Triple H is the Chief Content Officer in WWE. He is responsible for molding WWE’s creative direction in his vision, but Vince McMahon has been known to make changes on several occasions along the way. That being said, it’s puzzling that McMahon’s suggestions were scoffed at in this circumstance.

What’s your take on Vince McMahon’s creative input in WWE? Does the company need him to stay on course? Sound off in the comments!
