WWE announced that Night of Champions will go down in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27th. That show will be an early afternoon event for fans in North America, but it will be a loaded card. With a name like Night of Champions, that opens up a lot of possibilities.

Ringside News reached out to confirm something that we had a very good feeling about. A tenured member of the creative team confirmed to us that Roman Reigns will be working the Night of Champions show in Saudi Arabia.

Roman Reigns is not working the Backlash show in Puerto Rico on May 6th. He will wait until May 27th to wrestle in Jeddah at Night of Champions instead.

While Roman Reigns’ opponent was not confirmed to us, there are a couple of contenders in sight. Only time will tell how the Bloodline saga escalates from here, but it seems that the drama is far from over.

It was previously noted that Sami Zayn might be on this Saudi Arabian event as well. After fans chanted for him before Crown Jewel, this will undoubtably make a lot of people in Saudi Arabia very happy if it happens. Either way, they can expect the Tribal Chief.

What’s your take on Roman Reigns working Saudi Arabia event? Do you think it’s time for him to lose his title? Sound off in the comments!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
