Bobby Roode was having a lot of fun as 1/2 of the Dirty Dawgs with Dolph Ziggler, but then his in-ring momentum came to a screeching halt. The former NXT Champion had to undergo neck surgery, and he hasn’t wrestled since. Now, we have a bit of an update about his situation.

PW Insider noted behind their Elite paywall that Bobby Roode was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama yesterday. This was just a check-up after his neck surgery in 2022, but it’s certainly a sign that he is still checking on the progress of his recovery after injury.

WWE’s Bobby Roode was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama yesterday. We are told he was there to see how his healing is going after the neck surgery he underwent in late 2022.

Sadly, it was also noted that, “There’s no word when he will be cleared to return to the ring.” We can only hope that Bobby Roode is able to make it back to the ring as soon as possible. He could still have a really good run left in him with WWE.

Triple H was a huge fan of Bobby Roode, and even made him NXT Champion for a very nice run, debuting a new title belt under Roode along the way. This injury for Roode was terribly timed, but no injury ever occurs at a preferred moment.

Before Bobby Roode became a professional wrestler, he was a competitive amateur wrestler in high school and won multiple championships in his home province of Ontario, Canada. He’s worked his entire life to get to this point, and realizes that the journey isn’t over yet.

What’s your take on Bobby Roode in WWE? Would Triple H give him a big push? Sound off in the comments!
