The Blackpool Combat Club likes to stab people with a flathead screwdriver. That seems to be their weapon of choice, and they used it again no Takeshita in the closing moments of Dynamite this week. It turns out that the company realizes the severity of such an assault.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer went into detail about Hangman Page’s situation. He was asked if Page is really injured, since he wasn’t on this week’s episode of Dynamite. Hangman is not injured for real, but he did get some time to sell the Blackpool Combat Club’s assault.

People ask me about Hangman Page, to see if he’s legit injured. He’s selling the injury to make a big comeback.

Adam Page’s current AEW contract is also very interesting. The two sides are set to start new contract talks soon. We will have to see how his booking plays out in the next few months with that going on behind the scenes.

We’ll have to see how Hangman Page seeks retribution against the BCC. He could do a lot of things, and Double or Nothing might be a good landing pad for him to seek out that revenge.

AEW knows how to sell injuries, but they might have dropped the ball on communicating one big injury in recent memory. That being said, Adam “Hangman” Page will take some time off to make sure fans know how much it hurts to get split open by a screwdriver.
