Cody Rhodes became a big deal after returning to WWE last year at WrestleMania 38. It was very apparent that Rhodes was destined for greatness as he headlined this year’s WrestleMania against Roman Reigns. However, he wasn’t able to topple Reigns. Rhodes has been mentioning his loss since then and it appears he has been warned he could lose fans for a good reason.

The American Nightmare challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Sunday. Fans all over the world believed Rhodes to be the one to finally dethrone Reigns.

However, that was not the case as Roman Reigns won the match after numerous interferences from The Bloodline. After this, Cody Rhodes has constantly mentioned his loss to The Tribal Chief in his promos.

While speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash talked about Cody Rhodes’ recent promos and warned him that he will lose fans if Rhodes still mentions his loss at WrestleMania 39.

“I know it’s a babyface thing that he wants his pound of flesh, he wants his revenge,” Nash said. “If he keeps making reference to the fact that he didn’t win at WrestleMania, that’s absolutely evident since you don’t have a belt. You don’t have to bring it up every week that you didn’t win at WrestleMania. I get it, people are still with you. Don’t lose them.”

Cody Rhodes is set to square off against Brock Lesnar at WWE Backlash next month. Only time will tell whether Rhodes will be able to exact revenge on Roman Reigns somewhere down the line.

What’s your take on what Kevin Nash said? Do you think Cody Rhodes could lose fans? Sound off in the comments!
