Jon Moxley made the most of his pro wrestling career after WWE. His exit from WWE left him with the ability to call his own shots on the indies, picking dates in NJPW as well, and also working full-time for AEW at the same time. Even though he is on his A-Game, he is nowhere near the Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns is on one of the hottest streaks in pro wrestling history right now. As leader of The Bloodline, they are used perfectly, even while limiting Roman Reigns’ schedule to make his title defenses feel like special attractions.

During Keeping It 100, Konnan discussed Roman Reigns’ current run in WWE. He cut someone off by saying that The Tribal Chief needs the Usos. Then he proceeded to say that nobody, not even Jon Moxley, can touch what Reigns is doing.

“You sound like a mark, by the way, when you say ‘Oh, he needs the Usos.’ Bro, that’s an instrument to generate heat. Okay? But Roman’s been great at what he’s done. It’s [The Bloodline] is one of the best, if not the best storyline of the last twenty years of this business. (…) I don’t know enough about Okada and I don’t think [Jon] Moxley is doing what Reigns is doing, and to me Roman is the man right now.”

We’ll have to see if Roman Reigns and Jon Moxley ever meet again. They are currently with different companies and neither of them show any signs of changing that fact. Still, we have to wonder if there is any professional competition between the former Shield members, as they remain top players in their respective companies.

Jon Moxley is a former AEW World Champion, but his reign was nowhere near as long as The Tribal Chief’s. Then again, it might not be fair to compare Reigns to anyone eventually.
