Lita made a return to WWE back in January to aid Becky Lynch in her rivalry with Damage CTRL. The partnership resulted in Lita and Lynch defeating Dakota Kai and IYO SKY to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, which marked Lita’s first title reign in 17 years. However, Lita’s stint in WWE may have come to an end, according to a recent report.

As reported by PWInsider, WWE currently has no plans to use Lita moving forward. This follows Lita’s backstage attack on the April 10 edition of WWE RAW, which led to her being replaced by Trish Stratus for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez went on to defeat Lynch and Stratus to win the titles.

Despite her absence from WWE programming, it is expected that Lita will return to the storyline at some point in the future. In the meantime, Lynch and Stratus are set to continue their feud following Stratus’ recent heel turn.

In a recent interview, Stratus teased that her character would be taking on “something different” moving forward. Her reveal on the April 17 episode of WWE RAW that she was the one who attacked Lita is likely just the beginning of her new direction in the company.

While it’s unclear when or if Lita will return to WWE, fans will undoubtedly be eager to see her back in action in the future.
