2023 is a much different time for everyone, including those in the pro wrestling business. While some things have remained the same over the years, a lot of progress has been made to end discrimination. Sadly, that practice isn’t 100% gone.

The Huffington Post recently ran a story about three women who are prohibited from wrestling. Their Muslim beliefs make it impossible for them to join the organized competition. Their story received a lot of attention, especially from Tamina Snuka.

Tamina Snuka logged onto Twitter and she had to say something about this. She sent out a passionate message that it is time to wake up and do something about discrimination in today’s society.

This is a call out to wrestling organizations still practicing discrimination in 2023. It is you that needs to change!

Muslim women want to be granted the right to pursue their dreams.

I stand with you Zainab! I am proud of you for not compromising your beliefs.

Tamina Snuka also tweeted out to say, “you already have the heart of a gold medal champion!” to Zainab, who is going through this situation.

This is a troubling story to hear, because one would assume that the idea of discrimination in 2023 is no longer an issue. Sadly, social injustice is still a part of everyday society, but people like Tamina Snuka are ready to stand up when needed.

What’s your take on this story? What do you think Tamina Snuka is going to do to help this situation? Sound off in the comments!
