Mercedes Mone has reportedly agreed to a contract extension with NJPW/Stardom, according to a report by Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com.

The extension was agreed upon just hours before Mercedes’ defense of her IWGP Women’s title against Mayu Iwatani at the Stardom All Star Grand Queendom event. The length of the extension is currently unknown.

Although it is unclear how long the extension is for, Mercedes recently tweeted during a Q&A session that she plans to stay in Japan “forever”. She also stated her intentions to pursue wrestling, acting, modeling, and other opportunities.

Stardom’s official Twitter account posted a video to promote the All Star Grand Queendom event, which took place on September 25th.

Mercedes has become one of the top women’s wrestlers in the promotion since her arrival. Her IWGP Women’s title reign has been highly praised, with many fans and critics considering her one of the best champions in the title’s short history.

It remains to be seen when Mercedes’ next match will take place, but Meltzer reported that it is believed to be at an event in the United States. Regardless of when and where she competes, it is clear that Mercedes plans to continue making an impact in the world of professional wrestling for the foreseeable future.
