Jeff Hardy returned to AEW after a long hiatus due to a DUI situation. He wasn’t 100% upon his return after an eye injury, but things will pick up for Hardy soon enough.

Jeff Hardy’s return to AEW popped a lot of interest within the fan base. Now, he is aligned with Matt Hardy once again as they continue their adventure in AEW.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Jeff Hardy wasn’t expected to make his in-ring return soon at all. He is going to be on television, but the original plan was to hold things off until the Compound Match at first. Obviously, things can always change in pro wrestling.

Jeff Hardy wasn’t expected to have an in-ring match before the Compound Match, at least as of his return. There were some outside of AEW who had learned he was returning a couple of days prior.

Jeff Hardy’s return to television also irritated some people who believed that he should have received a stiffer penalty for another DUI. He will not get to drive for a decade, but he’ll still make towns for Tony Khan.

We’ll have to see how the Deletion match turns out on the Hardy Compound. If you want spoilers for that match, you can click here.
