WWE and AEW are after a lot of the same free agents, and they’ve signed a few people out from under each other at this point. While WWE has a global platform to offer talent, sometimes AEW’s deal is more attractive. It seems that WWE had their eyes on Komander, who is the latest person to ink a deal with Tony Khan’s company.

Komander and Jay White went to war on Dynamite this week. That match impressed a lot of fans, even though White had to save Komander from couple of botches along the way.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned how Komander signing with AEW is a big deal. After all, WWE was very interested in him.

Komander signed, which was another big one, because obviously, WWE wanted him and he is a guy with a lot of moves that are crowd-pleasing.

We’ll have to see if Komander ever makes his way to WWE. It seems that Tony Khan was able to lock him down, but it’s unclear how long his contract is for at this time.

We do know that Komander can get over with fans, as we saw in Pittsburgh on AEW Dynamite this week. Hopefully, AEW can use Komander to his full potential, because WWE certainly could have used his talented in-ring style.

What’s your take on Komander signing with AEW over WWE? Did he make the right call? Sound off in the comments!
