Mercedes Mone, the current IWGP Women’s Champion, has been the subject of much speculation regarding her future plans. Mone made her in-ring comeback at NJPW Battle in the Valley in February, where she defeated KAIRI to become the new IWGP Women’s Champion.

Reports suggest that her next title defense is the final match on her current agreement with NJPW/STARDOM, which has led to much speculation about where she will go next. Some have predicted that Mone will extend her deal with the Japanese promotions, while others have suggested that she could make her AEW debut.

However, Mone has recently shared a series of posts on her Instagram story that indicate she may be planning to stay in Japan. One post showed a sign for the Tokyo School of Japanese Language, with the caption “Time to learn 🇯🇵”. In another post, she indicated that she plans to move full-time to Japan.

These posts have led many to believe that Mone will remain with NJPW and STARDOM for the foreseeable future. She is set to defend her IWGP Women’s Championship against Mayu Iwatani at All Star Grand Queendom on April 23.
