Impact Wrestling’s Deonna Purrazzo has recently revealed that she is not allowed to talk about her husband, Steve Maclin, on screen. The revelation came in a recent interview on the podcast “In The Weeds” with Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl.

During the interview, Purrazzo discussed the possibility of working with her husband in the ring and facing Nick Aldis and Mickie James in the future. However, she noted that Impact Wrestling does not currently allow them to appear on screen together or acknowledge each other’s existence in their storylines.

Purrazzo stated that it was an Impact Wrestling decision, made to maintain the clear delineation between Maclin’s “super bad” character and her own “babyface” persona. She emphasized that her husband is very different in real life from his on-screen persona, and allowing them to appear together could take away from the impact of his character.

“Right now, IMPACT does not allow us on screen together. We’re not allowed to talk about each other. We do not exist in each other’s world yet in IMPACT Wrestling.”

“I don’t know that it will be something that happens, but I think that it makes a lot of sense and if it was something that was brought to the table, I think Steve and I would absolutely be open to it.”

Despite the limitations imposed by Impact Wrestling, Purrazzo would consider the possibility of working with her husband if it made sense for their storylines. She noted that while they are not huge intergender wrestlers, they would be open to it if there was a story that made sense.

“Steve and I have always talked about, we’re not huge intergender wrestlers, but if there’s a story and it made sense, it’d be something we’d be open to.”

It remains to be seen whether or not Purrazzo and Maclin will be allowed to appear together on screen in the future. For now, their characters will continue to exist in separate worlds within the Impact Wrestling universe.

Fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for this talented couple, and whether or not they will be able to showcase their chemistry and skills in the ring together.
