AEW has gone through a ton of changes over the course of four years, with Tony Khan’s vision always leading the company forward. Even then, not every decision made by the company has been a home run. This is especially the case with its overcrowded roster. That said, it appears Chris Jericho recently teased AEW getting a new television show.

AEW’s roster has continued to develop since 2019 and it featured top stars such as Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Bryan Danielson and many more. Despite being such a stacked roster, there are many flaws there as well.

This is largely due to the fact that AEW has a bloated roster, due to which a lot of talent simply aren’t used all the time and are relegated to either AEW Dark or just not used at all. The likes of Miro and Andrade El Idolo come to mind and this continues to anger fans.

While speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Chris Jericho talked about AEW’s current state. According to Jericho, the only downside to having such a large and talented roster is that they only have three hours of TV per week to showcase everyone. Jericho then went on to tease a future AEW television show.

”I think the only bad thing, if it is a bad thing is we only have three hours of TV a week with such a huge, talented roster so, that’s something hopefully we can work on but there’s nothing wrong with having a talented roster. We just need to get more reps for people which we’re doing with the House Rules. I think there’s some other news upcoming soon with more opportunities that we have to put the spotlight on more people so, you know, that’s the way it gos.”

AEW certainly needs to remedy its stacked-roster issue and a new television show just might be what the doctor ordered. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see when the new AEW show will come out.

What’s your take on what Chris Jericho said? Do you think AEW needs a new TV show? Sound off in the comments!
