AEW has a few stars who are not featured on television every week, and some who are sitting at home and waiting on a call about Tony Khan’s plan for them. Shawn Spears hasn’t been around for nearly half a year at this point, but that absence might be short-lived now.

Shawn Spears was brought into AEW as one of the company’s original signings before Double or Nothing. This came after he was released from WWE as Tye Dillinger, but he brought a lot of his Perfect 10 character to Tony Khan’s company.

Many fans have wondered when Shawn Spears will be back in an AEW ring. The Chairman recently added even more speculation to add anticiaption for fans.

On the April 5th episode of AEW Dynamite, Ricky Starks was attacked by Juice Robinson and Jay White. That was the big real that Jay White inked a deal with AEW. Following this segment, Shawn Spears took to Twitter to tease his comeback, hinting that Starks might need some backup.

At this time, Ricky Starks has not commented on this tweet. That being said, he had to have seen it in his verified mentions.

Shawn Spears and his wife Cassie Lee have new baby at home. He might have enjoyed that time off, but it seems his days on the road will start up again soon enough.

Do you miss Shawn Spears in AEW? Do you think he can still be a top champion in Tony Khan’s company? Sound off in the comments!
