Vince McMahon’s return to WWE as the Executive Chairman was a well-thought plan in order to sell the company. In the span of just three months, McMahon accomplished just that as WWE was sold to UFC’s parent company Endeavor. Many people were not in favor of this at all. That said, it seems Ric Flair believes WWE will be more successful with Vince McMahon back.

Endeavor now controls WWE as the primary owner, with WWE and the UFC merging together to form a $21 billion company. The ramifications of such a huge move will be felt in the coming months.

UFC President Dana White also commented on the merger. White went on record to state that he is fully confident in the deal and believes that it will help bolster the fan bases for both promotions.

While speaking on his To Be The Man podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair shared his thoughts on WWE and UFC’s merger deal. The Nature Boy made it clear that he believes WWE will be more successful with Vince McMahon involved.

“I just personally hope that the McMahon family… he is still allowed to run the WWE. Because god forbid we have another situation where Turner buys the NWA. That turned into the worst case scenario ever.

It all depends on who’s ego, who’s doing what. But if they don’t keep Vince involved and let him help them make creative decisions, I don’t think they’ll be as successful as they would be with him. People say they’re upset with Vince. I didn’t see anybody upset with him.

There’s always gonna be people that are complaining about their position in the company because they’re not where they want to be or they think they should be, but that’s not the fault of Hunter or Vince. Some people have a pretty high opinion of themselves that they should keep to themselves, rather than complain publicly, in my opinion.”

Vince McMahon is already back in the Creative department after making a ton of changes on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. It is very likely that fans will not agree with a single word that Ric Flair said. Only time will tell whether Ric Flair will end up being correct.

What are your thoughts on Ric Flair’s belief that WWE will be more successful with Vince McMahon involved in the company, following the recent merger with UFC’s parent company Endeavor? Do you agree with his perspective? Leave a comment.
