WWE had a lot of irons in the fire as they rounded the corner headed into WrestleMania 39. The showcase of the immortals did not disappoint, and the backstage reaction was also quite positive. Legado Del Fantasma was a part of Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio’s feud throughout, as they aligned with Rey, and now they are the LWO. It seems that WWE had those plans a while ago.

Although it might have come as a surprise for some fans that Legado Del Fantasma was brought into the picture, it was the plan for a while. After all, Ringside News exclusively reported in January that WWE locked in the WrestleMania card at that time, and they’ve only needed to make a couple slight alterations to it since then.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE had those plans for Legado Del Fantasma locked in for WrestleMania “months” in advance. So, everything went according to plan for the faction.

The plans for Legado Del Fantasma to be involved with WrestleMania were set up months ago, we’re told.

Some fans were worried about the fact that Legado Del Fantasma was off television for a stretch, but they shouldn’t have been. WWE had plans for them all along, and now we are seeing it come to fruition.

We’ll have to see how the new incarnation of the LWO does. It seems like a real thing that creative will go with for now. Hopefully, it turns out better than the original version.
