WWE’s biggest show of the year is coming up in a matter of months, but the company is also going through a huge shift internally. April 1st and 2nd in SoFi Stadium will be quite an extravaganza. That being said, there are no intentions for Vince McMahon to have his hand in WrestleMania’s booking this year.

Vince McMahon’s return to WWE saw a lot of uncertainty within WWE and throughout the fan base. Many members of the WWE Universe were excited about Triple H booking his first WrestleMania event, and they should be. Now, they can rest assure that this will likely happen regardless of corporate changes.

Ringside News asked around about Vince McMahon’s return to WWE. We were told by a tenured member of the creative team that “WrestleMania is planned.” We were not provided any spoilers for the show of shows.

We were able to exclusively report in mid-December that WWE creative was pitching alternative ideas in case The Rock couldn’t make the WrestleMania event. Dwayne Johnson’s presence at SoFi Stadium was once thought to be “virtual lock,” but his 2022 took quite an unexpected turn with Black Adam bombing in the box office, so he is still a very busy man.

Steve Austin is also a possibility for WrestleMania, despite his denial. The Texas Rattlesnake has dropped several videos to prove that he is still in good enough shape to stomp a mudhole in someone at the show of shows.

Also, Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE and John Cena were in talks about a WrestleMania appearances of some kind. Vince McMahon also gave his blessing to Cena to do whatever he can with WWE.

With the WrestleMania card planned, now all WWE has to do is build toward those matches. Only time will tell who we’re talking about in April on the grandest stage of them all, or who could own the company at that point. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more up-to-date information.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
