WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner paved the way for many tag team specialists to succeed in the industry. Unfortunately, he recently landed himself in hot water following Transphobic accusations. In fact, he is now facing a lot of backlash due to his alleged hateful words.

April 1st is International Transgender Day of Visibility. Impact Wrestling star Gisele Shaw recently shared some very disturbing details about Rick Steiner that utterly shocked the pro wrestling world in a big way.

Gisele Shaw shared that Rick Steiner called her a lot of Transphobic slurs and hateful words that ended up baffling fans. Unsurprisingly, this led to a ton of backlash, as fans on Twitter dragged Rick Steiner for his hurtful remarks about Gisele Shaw.

Rick Steiner was actually at the WWE Hall of Fame last night along with his brother Scott Steiner. As of this writing, the WWE Hall Of Famer has yet to respond to the accusations made against him and he will likely be lying low for a while until things cool down for him.

Nonetheless, transphobia has no place in professional wrestling, as the world is far more accepting of people from all walks of life. We certainly hope Gisele Shaw never has to deal with such an incident ever again.

What’s your take on this controversy? Do you think Rick Steiner should issue a public apology? Sound off in the comments!
