Vince McMahon ran WWE for decades, and everything that happened on television was his call. Mr. McMahon was forced to retire from the company due to a hush money scandal, but then he returned to help usher in a company sale. Now, he is back in a more official capacity.

According to a new SEC filing, Vince McMahon is now officially a WWE employee again. He was also given a stock award with a current market value of $4.7 million.

Vince McMahon is still the majority shareholder of the company. He used this leverage to get his way back into the company in the first place. It didn’t take long before Vince was back as Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.

He remains the controlling shareholder of the company. The deal stipulates that he will serve as Executive Chairman for a term of two years from his start date of January 9, 2023, which was when he returned to WWE.

We will have to see how this changes things around WWE. Since Vince McMahon is employed by the company again, that will give him a lot of reasons to be around. It is interesting to note that no job title was listed for McMahon.

It was already confirmed that Mr. McMahon will be around during both nights of WrestleMania 39. Only time will tell where he finds himself during those shows, and how much of the action he is calling from the Gorilla Position.

What’s your take on Vince McMahon’s return to WWE? Does any of this surprise you at all? Sound off in the comments!
