MJF considers himself a generational talent, and he clearly has many ways to back up his claims. He is now the AEW World Champion, and that further raises his stock every single week. He is the master of promos, and now it seems he seemingly borrowed from John Cena during his most recent promo.

During the latest episode of Dynamite, MJF was featured in a promo segment with Jungle Boy Jack Perry, who beat Matt Hardy in a match. After that match, MJF took the opportunity to express his dissatisfaction towards Perry, claiming that he had interfered in his bar mitzvah the previous week.

Despite barely working in AEW himself, MJF took issue with Jack Perry’s success and hard work. MJF went on to remind Jungle Boy that when they had previously met at Double or Nothing in 2020, he had felt like he had finally found his equal. However, he believed that Perry’s friends had held him back from achieving his full potential.

The situation quickly escalated when MJF made a controversial comment about Jack Perry’s girlfriend, Anna Jay, implying he made her “weak in the knees”. This obviously angered Perry, and he attacked the AEW World Champion.

During the promo, MJF also seemingly borrowed from John Cena in his promo as MJF used a similar line that Cena had delivered during a promo segment with Roman Reigns on WWE Raw several years ago.

During that promo, John Cena had told Roman Reigns that it took him five years to learn how to cut a promo. As for MJF, he told Jungle Boy that it took four years for him to learn how to talk. It remains to be seen how AEW will be booking MJF and Jungle Boy’s feud in the coming weeks, are fans are definitely invested in the storyline.

What’s your take on MJF’s promo on Jungle Boy? Do you think he borrowed from John Cena? Sound off in the comments!
