Bray Wyatt was all set to take on Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39, but then the Eater of Worlds was taken out of action. He is not physically cleared to compete, so Wyatt has taken a few weeks off. Now, we have a bit of an update about the situation, and it turns out that things are just as clear for Bray Wyatt within the company.

Ringside News reached out to confirm Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania status. We were told that this is totally up in the air at this point. Nobody has been told that Bray Wyatt and Bobby Lashley’s WrestleMania match is off or not.

A tenured member of the WWE creative team told us that, “No one here knows — top level information, and it’s not flowing down.” At this point, it’s anyone’s guess what WWE will do.

Bray Wyatt is reportedly suffering from an undisclosed illness. Although the exact type of illness is not known, Bray Wyatt was recently spotted in public, where he took selfie with a fan.

Although he was slated to be at SmackDown this week, Bray Wyatt was not there. He was at home in Tampa instead, and we have no idea when he will return to WWE television. It would be really nice to see him on the road to WrestleMania, but the fact that WWE hasn’t plugged Wyatt vs Bobby Lashley in recent weeks could be a very telling sign.

WWE invested a lot of effort into Bray Wyatt’s WWE return. It would be a shame if he misses another WrestleMania show, but it seems he’s not ready for a return. That being said, Bobby Lashley might be on the hunt for a new opponent at the showcase of the immortals this year.

What’s your take on Bray Wyatt’s current situation with WWE and WrestleMania? Are you surprised that this is happening? Sound off in the comments!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
