WWE Could Run WrestleMania Angle During Hall Of Fame Ceremony

WWE’s Hall of Fame event is a yearly celebration of pro wrestling’s history. This year’s ceremony only has three confirmed names, Rey Mysterio, Andy Kaufman, and the Great Muta, but they could reveal another name or two by the big day. March 31st’s ceremony could also see a WrestleMania angle go down.

The company booked plenty of WrestleMania matches already, but one expected contest hasn’t been made official yet. Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio are going to likely throw down at the show of show, but that match hasn’t been booked just yet.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted this current situation with Rey Mysterio’s WrestleMania match. It was also stated that an angle is very likely for the WWE Hall of Fame, since Rey Mysterio is being inducted.

On 3/24, the next step in the angle is that the Mysterio family, wife Angie and sister Aalyah, who have been in angles in the past, will return for th3e show in Las Vegas.

The storyline indicates something will happen at the Hall of Fame, so it’s likely the most will be a last minute addition. We do know that it has been discussed the idea of shooting the angle for the match on night one and then having the match at night two. But they also could shoot the angle and make the match earlier, such as during the Hall of Fame ceremony.

The entire Mysterio family will be on SmackDown this week. Fans haven’t seen that family all together on television for years. It will also give WWE a chance to build more toward that father vs son match.

Konnan is also supposedly going to induct Rey Mysterio into the WWE Hall of Fame. WWE said that they didn’t have an issue with it as long as Konnan wasn’t still signed to MLW. Obviously, WWE and MLW are still at odds with each other as legal battle continues.

We will have to see what WWE does on the road to WrestleMania, but the WWE Hall of Fame is certainly not off limits when it comes to building for a big match. Only time will tell whom emerges from WrestleMania 39 as the top Mysterio in the house.
